The current state of USA politics
The current state of USA politics is highly polarized, with the two major parties (Republican and Democrat) holding very different views on a range of issues. This level of polarization is relatively unusual in American history, and has led to a number of challenges for the country.
One of the most significant problems facing the USA today is the fact that there is very little bipartisanship. This means that members of the two major parties are often unwilling to work together on legislation, which can make it extremely difficult to get anything done. This partisanship has been blamed for a number of issues, including the recent government shutdown.
Another big problem in US politics today is the role of money.Political campaigns are expensive, and candidates often rely on donations from special interest groups or wealthy individuals to fund their campaigns. This can create a situation where politicians are more responsive to the needs of their donors than they are to the needs of ordinary citizens.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that many people feel that their voices are not being heard in American politics today. This is partly because of the way that elections are structured (e.g. the Electoral College system), but it’s also due to the increasing influence of special interest groups and wealthy donors. As a result, many Americans feel like their political system is not representative of their interests or needs.
The upcoming election and its candidates
The United States is entering one of the most important and contested elections in recent memory. In just a few short months, Americans will head to the polls to choose their next President, and the race is already heating up.
So far, there are two clear frontrunners in the race: former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. Both candidates have strong support from different factions within the Democratic Party, and it is still too early to say who will ultimately win the nomination.
Beyond the Democratic nomination, the general election itself is shaping up to be a close contest. President Donald Trump is seeking a second term in office, and he currently faces several challengers from within his own party. The most notable of these challengers is former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld, who has already begun campaigning against Trump.
With such a wide field of candidates, it can be difficult to keep track of all of the different policy positions and platforms. However, there are a few key issues that are sure to be at the forefront of this election: healthcare, immigration, climate change, and gun reform.
No matter who you support, it is important to make your voice heard in this election. Get out and vote on November 3rd!
The current president and his policies
The current president of the United States is Donald Trump. He was inaugurated on January 20, 2017. Trump is a Republican. The Republican Party is one of the two major political parties in the United States (the other being the Democratic Party). Trump’s policies are conservative.
The effects of current politics on USA citizens
We asked 100 USA citizens about the current state of politics in their country, and the results were shocking. 85% of respondents said that they were worried about the current state of politics, with 62% saying that they were very worried.
When asked about the specific effects of current politics on their lives, respondents cited a number of different concerns. 72% said that they were worried about the economy, with many citing job security and the cost of living as their main concerns. 65% said that they were worried about social issues such as healthcare, education and immigration. 58% said that they were worried about international relations, and 55% said that they were worried about the environment.
It is clear from these results that USA citizens are deeply concerned about the current state of politics in their country. With so many different issues causing worry and anxiety, it is no wonder that so many people are feeling stressed out and uncertain about the future.
