Introduction

Why do people from other countries think they can talk about our politics? I mean, it’s not like they have any skin in the game, right? They don’t live here, they don’t pay taxes here, they don’t vote here… so why do they think they can have an opinion on our politics?

It drives me crazy when I see people from other countries talking about US politics as if they know what they’re talking about. I’m not saying that they can’t have an opinion, but it would be nice if they could at least get their facts straight. A lot of the time, it seems like people from other countries are just parroting what they’ve heard on the news or read online, and they don’t really seem to understand the issues in depth.

I understand that US politics can be interesting to people from other countries, but I wish they would leave the commentary to those of us who actually live here and understand what’s going on.

What I Hate

I recently had a conversation with someone from another country about USA politics. I found it really annoying because they didn’t seem to understand what was going on.

They don’t understand our system

I hate when people from another country talk about USA politics. They don’t understand our system, and they always take sides against us.

They don’t understand our culture

I hate when people from another country talk about USA politics. They don’t understand our culture or what we stand for as a nation.

They don’t understand our history

I hate when people from other countries talk about USA politics. They don’t understand our history or how our government works. It’s like they think they know everything just because they read a few articles on the internet.

Conclusion

It is hard to have a conversation about politics with someone from another country, because they usually don’t know what they’re talking about. I get it, you want to be interested in what’s going on in the world. But when you don’t know anything about a country’s politics, it’s best to just stay quiet.
